Tips To Turn Your Bedroom Into The Mecca Of Love

by: Melissa
I don’t know about you but my master bedroom is the first place I dump the rest of the houses mess when there are going to be guests. And it’s the last room in the house I clean up after those guests have left.

My bedroom is the furtherest thing from romantic that you could imagine. In fact, it’s absolutely amazing that anything goes on in there once the sun goes down (or first thing in the morning).

I decided to look for cost effective and mood altering ways to change my room from the city dump to the mecca of love that it’s truly meant to be.
Clean up the crap!: Everything has it’s place and if it doesn’t, that means get rid of it. There’s a floor somewhere in that room that is meant for much more than walking. Oh yes, I’m talking sex. With a neat space, the bed isn’t the only place that would see nocturnal activities. Consider purchasing a plush, sink-into-type rug, maybe sheep skin, it creates another sensuous area in the bedroom for rolling around in.

Change colors: If it’s feasible, pick a different palate. Your walls are boring white? Choose a jewel tone or maybe a nice coffee with cream color. Reds, apricots or honey are also nice, sexy colors that are easy to accessorize. Be daring, dramatic or serene. Pick the type of color that would best compliment your passionate side.

Bedding that seduces you: One of the biggest changes I make to the look of my room is bedding. I have a tendency toward the feminine. But I try not to go too girlie, I don’t want my husband to feel like he’s entered the room of a teenage girl. You don’t need to buy over 500 thread count, that’s generally maximum softness, anything over that is kind of a scam. Don’t go crazy with the toss pillows, to have to stop the heat of the moment to rearrange the bed stink! Personally though, bedding is where I’d spend the majority of my budget because that’s where you spend most of your time when you’re in the mecca of love. Am I right?

Candle and lighting: Get a dimmer on your light-switch to add a new dimension of mood lighting. Also, scented candles add a nice relaxing, sexy touch. The glow from a candle is so romantic. Lighting can definitely create the mood.

Create the mood with music: Soft music playing in the background sets a sexy, romantic mood. What type of music depends on you.

Other suggestions: Lock the door, nothing screams mood breaker than your teenager daughter walking in looking for her hairbrush (yes, that’s happened). A stripper pole was another idea! Shut out the world with beautiful window treatments.

I don’t guarantee more sex once your bedroom becomes the mecca of love it’s yearning to be. But, I guarantee you’ll be more relaxed in your new and very convenient getaway.

One of the best things Veronica and I did for our sex life was to get rid of the TV in the bedroom. I highly recommend it!

I cleaned our bedroom and she said it was the best Valentine’s gift she could have received. Looks like I’ll get a great gift, as well.
